AL-KITAB FOUNDATION: AN INTRODUCTION

AL-KITAB FOUNDATION: AN INTRODUCTION
The Muslim community, undoubtedly, is going through a very sensitive, tough and trying day. The ever-changing situations and misfortunes of the time have pushed them into economic and academic backwardness that is beyond imagination.
On the other hand, the Western ideology and its system of education and tarbiyat have successfully exploited the media to leave a negative impact on the gullible Muslim society. This has added to the causes of decline of Muslim Ummah. The situation is very sorrowful.
An overall evaluation of Muslims' condition reveals that they are not only far backward economically but their religious situation too is abysmal. Their detachment from religion brings tears to the eyes. Consequently, Muslim society is increasingly becoming a cradle of new evils and inventions in deen. Any further delay in taking practical steps to have uneducated Muslims attached to religious and contemporary education and the unchecked explosive condition of the society will leave negative effects that will muddy the whole society.
Interestingly, everyone complains about evils of the society and the abysmal educational and economic conditions of Muslims. But it is heartbreaking that so far no collective steps have been taken in search for a solution. No satisfactory efforts were made either on district or state or national level, in this regard.
None can deny that presently there is lack of religious schools (madaris)—an important sources of propagation of education—in Nawada district. And most of the madaris present, unfortunately, do not seem heading seriously towards their stated basic goals nor are they preparing people who fit for the changing time. As a result, a major part of our population is either illiterate or has been attaining education in the institutions where they are taught to sell their religion and culture.
These are the troubling conditions and feelings that urged some youth of Nawada district to instigate a movement in the shape of a strong academic institution through which not only that religions education and tarbiyat will be promoted but contemporary and technical education will also be imparted. They believe it would eliminate illiteracy and unemployment from the society.
It was under this feeling that AL-KITAB FOUNDATION was established some months before. By the grace of Allah the institution has been registered under the Society Registered Act 1860 of India.

Important Goals Of AL-KITAB FOUNDATION
The aims with which AL-KITAB FOUNDATION was established are as:

1. To try the maximum for maintaining unity among Muslims on the sole concept of Islamic Brotherhood
2. To explore the resources for human welfare
3. To pave way towards a life based on moral and social values
4. To facilitate the society with education required by the situation; establishing religious schools, colleges and arranging for education for elders
5. To guide illiterate and backward sections of the society and try to uplift them
6. To remain aware of the conditions the students of colleges and schools face and to provide facilities to the skilled and smart students
7. To prepare schemes for promoting makatib and propagate technological education
8. To exert efforts for promotion of Urdu, Arabic and Persian languages
9. To provide with valuable suggestions regarding employment to the unemployed lots and make them aware about the government facilities for them
10. To provide the poor with resources for treatment and build hospitals
11. To build libraries and publishing houses
12. To protect Waqf lands
13. To plan for achieving these aims and act accordingly

AL KITAB FOUNDATION has been founded with the sole aim of creation of awareness about education and its propagation, social reforms, unity of the Muslim community, national integrity and human welfare.  It includes among its priorities establishing of schools and madaris to equip children, coming from poor Muslim societies educationally and economically backward, with both religious and contemporary education. It also gives equal importance to imparting higher education to Muslim girls and boys.
The Foundation does not have enough resources required to accomplish these goals. The institution is in urgent need of a vast land, approximately three acres, for a Masjid, a Madrasa and a school. We plan to start a madrasa of Hifz and Nazera that will provide with free and standard fooding and lodging facilities to the students. We have started a school....
If the Foundation continues getting logical and financial support from the well wishers it can achieve its goal of bringing economic and academic revolution in the backward rural areas. We put our trust in Allah. We request you to help us accomplish these dreams and also ask your friends and dear ones to contribute their share to the Foundation.
